TIGHTENING TORQUES XU ENGINES : 16 VALVES

1 - IDENTIFICATION

(1) Compact coil block : 1 da.Nm .

(2) Cylinder-head cover (Spiral torque) : 1 da.Nm .

(3) Camshaft bearing housings (Spiral torque) :

• pre-tighten : 0.5 da.Nm
• tightening torque: 1 da.Nm

(4) Cylinder head (Spiral torque) .

2 - CYLINDER HEAD

XU10J4R ENGINE

IMPERATIVE : tighten the cylinder head bolts in the order shown .

In the order shown :

• pre-tighten : 3.5 da.Nm
• tightening torque 7 da.Nm
• tighten a further 160 degrees using a FACOM D.360 type tool

XU7JP4 ENGINE

IMPERATIVE : tighten the cylinder head bolts in the order shown .

This operation is performed in 4 stages .

Stage 1 (Bolt by bolt) :

• pre-tighten bolt(s) to 6 da.Nm.

Stage 2 (Bolt by bolt) :

• slacken completely the bolts
• retighten the bolts : 2 da.Nm
• tighten a further 107 degrees using a FACOM D.360 type tool

Stage 3 (Bolt by bolt) :

• apply an angular torque of 100 ° to the bolts

Stage 4 (Bolt by bolt) :

• apply an angular torque of 100 ° to the bolts
