REMOVAL - REFITTING DIESEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

1 - PROTECTION

IMPERATIVE : observe the safety and cleanliness instructions .


Place a protector on the following elements :

2 - REMOVAL

Disconnect the battery .

Remove :


Place a draining tray under the engine .

Open the bleed screw (1) .

Clean the connectors on the fuel filter assembly at (A) : USING THE TOOLS [2] - [3] - [4] .


Disconnect the pipes (2) - (3) .

Wait for the diesel to drain off completely .

When uncoupling the pipes, block the holes : USING THE TOOLS [6] .

Block the unions on the fuel filter assembly at (B) : USING THE TOOLS [1] .


Fit a 22 mm socket : At (C) .

Apply pressure to the cover (4) and simultaneously slacken a quarter turn .


Remove :

3 - CLEANING THE CHAMBER OF THE FILTER ELEMENT

IMPERATIVE : do not clean the chamber of the filter element with a rag; do not use compressed air .

Allow the fuel contained in the filter element chamber (8) to drain .

Disconnect the pipes under the filter element chamber .

IMPERATIVE : when uncoupling the pipes, block the holes : USING THE TOOLS [1] - [6] .

Unclip and raise the filter element chamber (8) .

POUR THE PRODUCT [13] INTO THE TRAY [4] .

Clean and drain the filter element chamber : USING THE TOOL [3] .

Drain the fuel filter .

Dry and wipe the chamber of the filter element chamber with a high precision wiper, available from parts .

Replace the filter element chamber (8) .

4 - REFITTING


IMPERATIVE : open the sachet containing the new filter element just before refitting .

Fit :


WARNING : position the cover (4) and the pipes (B) at right angles to the engine (mark (D) located on the air filter side) .

Fit a 22 mm socket : At (C) .

Apply pressure to the cover (4) and simultaneously slacken a quarter turn .

Remove :

Connect the pipe (2) .

Connect the battery .

BLEED THE FUEL SUPPLY CIRCUIT .

Fit :
