REMOVAL - REFITTING VARIABLE TIMING CAMSHAFT HUB

1 - REMOVAL

remove the timing belt .

Remove the style cover .

Remove :


IMPERATIVE : do not slacken the securing bolts (1) .

Position the open-ended spanner on the flat (2) of the camshaft .

Remove the vtc securing bolts .

Remove the pulley vtc assembly .

2 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : always replace the vtc cover and the vtc securing bolt .


IMPERATIVE : when assembling a vtc hub (3) and pulley (4) line up the timing hole (5) with notch (6) at (A) .

Tightening torque(s) : Bolt (1) : 0.9 da.Nm .

refit the timing belt .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Tightening torque(s) :


NOTE : fit the cylinder head cover using a new gasket,observing the following order : .
