REMOVAL - REFITTING FUEL TANK

1 - REMOVAL

drain the tank .

Disconnect the fuel gauge electrical connections .

Remove :

• the rear section of the exhaust pipe (1) (after the catalytic converter)
• the heat shield (2)

Disconnect :

• the filler pipe (3)
• the breather pipe (4)
• the fuel vapour collection pipe (5)

Disconnect the fuel supply and return pipes underneath the body .

Unclip the handbrake cable (6) from the tank .

Remove :

• the two under-sills (7)
• the tank (8)

2 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .
