REMOVAL - REFITTING FUEL FILTER

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Set of plugs (-).0188-T .

[2] Degreaser : SODIMAC No.35 (Available from Parts Division) .

Brush [3] .

Cleaning tray [4] .

2 - REMOVAL

Disconnect the battery .

Remove the shield under the power train .

Place a draining tray under the engine .

Open the bleed screw (1) .

Move aside the connections (2), (3) .

IMPERATIVE : plug the holes using tool [1] .

Fit a 22 mm socket (At (a)) .

Apply pressure to the cover (4) and simultaneously slacken a quarter turn .

Remove :

3 - CLEANING THE FUEL FILTER

Allow the fuel contained in the fuel filter (5) to flow out .

Move aside the connections (Under the fuel filter) .

IMPERATIVE : plug the holes using tool [1] .

Unclip and lift the fuel filter .

Remove the fuel filter (5) .

Pour the product [2] into the tray [4] .

Clean the fuel filter (Using the tool [3]) .

Before refitting : Allow the fuel filter to drip .

IMPERATIVE : only use RESISTEL cloths (available from Parts Division) ; do not use compressed air .

4 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : open the sachet containing the new filter element just before refitting .

Fit : The fuel filter (5) .

Fit :

WARNING : position the cover (4) and the pipes (b) at right angles to the engine (mark (c) located on the air filter side) .

Fit a 22 mm socket (At (a)) .

Apply pressure to the cover (4) and at the same time tighten by a quarter turn .

Remove the tools [1] .

Couple up the unions (2) .

Connect the battery .

Initialise the various ECUs .

5 - BLEEDING THE SUPPLY CIRCUIT

To fill the fuel filter, switch the ignition on and off several times (6 times) .

6 - LEAKAGE CHECK

Start the engine .

Check that there are no fuel leaks .
