REMOVAL - REFITTING PARTICLE FILTER

IMPERATIVE : {{n12993}} le remplacement du filtre a particules est une operation necessitant la depose prealable de l'ensemble catalyseur/ filtre a particules .

WARNING : {{n12994}} le respect des specifications decrites dans les gammes est imperatif .

IMPERATIVE : tighten the mounting pin clipping tabs to detach the pin ({{n12995}} risque d'endommagement du flexible decoupleur et des piquages de pression en amont et en aval) .

1 - PACKAGING

IMPERATIVE : do not discard the packaging of the particulate emission filter provided by the parts division .

IMPERATIVE : use this packaging to return the replaced part .

Fit the recovered plugs and closer on the new particulate emission filter at the ends and openings (A) .

Place the particulate emission filter in the recovered bag .

Place everything in the original packaging .

Return the part to the repackaging centre .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove the temperature sensor connectors (A) .

Remove : The cover (1) under the engine .

Remove the exhaust hose clip (2) .

Remove the pipes (3) .

Check that the white mark (B) is present on the pipe (if it is not, mark it) .

Remove the sensors (4) .

Do not damage the section (C) of the sensors on removal .

Remove :

• the collar (5)
• the catalytic converter and particle filter assembly, from underneath

WARNING : {{n12996}} faire attention de ne pas blesser le flexible d'echappement, celui-ci ne supporte pas les contraintes en traction, en torsion et en flexion .

Unscrew :

• the pipe (6) (using a pipe wrench)
• the mounting bolts (7) of the pipe

Remove the hose .

Remove :

• the 4 nuts (8)
• the particulate emission filter (pef)
• the seal (9)

3 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : clean the seal contact surfaces ; {{n12997}} remplacer systematiquement les colliers (2) - (5) et le joint (9) .

WARNING : when refitting the seal (9), check the position of the particulate emission filter in relation to the catalytic converter, aligning the downstream pressure take-off pipe fixing .

Position bolts and nuts (8) without tightening them .

Align the particle filter clamp with that of the catalytic converter .

Tighten :

• the bolts (8) (in the order indicated from 1 to 4) to 3.5 da.Nm
• the temperature sensors (4)
• the pipe (6) (using a pipe wrench)
• the collars (2) + (5) : to 2.5 da.Nm

WARNING : do not invert the pressure take-off pipes ; the white paint ring mark (B) corresponds to the downstream pressure take-off of the particulate emission filter .

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

NOTE : fill the additive reservoir .
