REMOVAL - REFITTING CLUTCH

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Clutch plate centralising mandrel(-).0213 / (-).0214 .

2 - REMOVAL

remove the gearbox .

NOTE : mark the relative positions of the clutch and flywheel (in case of re-use of the cover) .

Remove :

• the securing bolts (1)
• the cover
• the plate

Visually check :

• the flywheel face for damage or scores
• the flywheel for wear
• the condition of the starter ring gear
• the cover

If there is oil in the clutch housing, replace :

• the crankshaft oil seal
• the clutch release bearing guide

3 - REFITTING

WARNING : fit the plate with the hub springs towards the cover .

Fit :

• the clutch plate
• the cover (aligning the marks if appropriate)
• the centralising mandrel [1]

Tighten the bolts (1) to 2 daN.m .

Remove the tool [1] .

Apply a fine coat of MOLYKOTE BR2 PLUS to the clutch release bearing and to the fingers of the forks .

IMPERATIVE : always renew ; the clutch release bearing .

Position the clutch release bearing .

refit the gearbox .
