5 - GEAR CHANGE PREVENTION : 5TH - REVERSE
5 - 1 - IDENTIFICATION
Change from 5 th to reverse is prevented by means of the plate (1) and the finger (2) .
5 - 2 - POSITION OF THE FINGER FOR EACH GEAR
Neutral .

4th .

5 - 3 - ENGAGEMENT OF 5 TH OR REVERSE
When selecting the 5 th - reverse line, the finger (2) pushes the retractable cam (3); once the desired gear is engaged, the cam is returned to its position by the spring (4) .
5 - 4 - GEAR CHANGE PREVENTION : 5TH - REVERSE
When changing down from 5 th to 4 th, the finger (2) contacts the cam (3) which contacts the plate (1) at (A) and prevents engagement of reverse, The slope (B) of the cam directs the finger towards 4 th .
5 - 5 - GEARBOX AND DIFFERENTIAL CASINGS
Components can be replaced individually, provided that the input shaft bearing is re-adjusted .
