CHECK FLUID LEVEL

Prior conditions :

• engine hot (automatic gearbox temperature: approximately 80 °C
• with the foot brake applied, engage all gears in turn
• vehicle on a level surface
• the selector lever is in position P/N
• engine at idle

The fluid level on the dipstick should be between the min (A) and max (B) marks .

Difference between minimum and maximum on the dipstick : 0,5 litre(s) .

IMPERATIVE : the fluid level must never be above the max mark (B) .

Too high a fluid level can cause :

• overheating of the fluid
• oil leaks

Too low a level will lead to destruction of the gearbox .

WARNING : clean the area around the dipstick before taking it out .

If there is a leak at the dipstick, replace the 2 O-rings (1) .
