REMOVAL - REFITTING GEARBOX CONTROLS

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Ball joint extractor (-).0338-E .

2 - REMOVAL

EW10J4 ENGINE

Remove :

• the air cleaner assembly
• the ball joint (1) (using the tool [1])
• the clip (at (A))
• the gear lever knob (clipped)
• the central console (see corresponding method)
• the bolts (2)

Raise the vehicle .

Remove :

• the exhaust hangers
• the heat shield
• the gear lever

3 - REFITTING

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

IMPERATIVE : to fasten the ball joint (1), place a stop under the gear selection lever (3) (e.g. tool [1]) .

If necessary : Adjust the gear lever (new or incorrectly adjusted lever) .

4 - GEARBOX CONTROLS ADJUSTMENT

Gear lever in position P .

Gear lever (3) as far as possible towards the rear of the vehicle (B) .

Lock the gear adjustment by pressing on the orange plastic part (4) .

The adjustment is carried out .

NOTE : to release the gear lever adjustment, press the black plastic part (5) .
