REMOVAL - REFITTING HEAT EXCHANGER

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Hose clamp (-).1512 (Quantity 2) .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove the air cleaner .

Unclip the connector (1) from its bracket (2) .

Remove the support (2) .

Position the hose clamps [1] .

Disconnect the hoses .

Remove : The heat exchanger (3) .

Remove :

• the 2 bolts (4) securing the heat exchanger (3) with their seals (6)
• the seals (5) - (6)

3 - REFITTING

Replace : The seals (5)-(6) .

Fit the seals (5) in their positions on the casing .

Fit the heat exchanger .

WARNING : direction of fitting : point towards the front of the vehicle .

Follow the direction of fitting .

IMPERATIVE : the heat exchanger must be changed if the gearbox fluid is polluted .

Tighten the 2 bolts (4) alternately to ensure correct seating of the heat exchanger .

Tightening torque : 3,5 da.Nm .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Bleed the cooling system .

WARNING : as the gearbox heat exchanger is at the top, ensure that it is bled correctly - carry out a test and check the automatic gearbox temperature .
