REMOVAL - REFITTING GEAR CHANGE SHAFT SEAL

1 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the air cleaner assembly
• the bolt (1)
• the clip (2)
• the gearbox controls (3) using the tool [6]

Mark the position of the multifunction switch (4) .

Remove the multifunction switch .

USING THE TOOL [14], CUT OUT THE SEAL RUBBER :

• rotate in each direction in turn
• remove the swarf as it is produced
• cut out the seal until the tool [14] cannot go any further (A)

SCREW THE TOOL IN AS FAR AS IT WILL GO [15] .

Remove the seal .

2 - REFITTING

Lubricate the surfaces of the new seal .

FIT THE NEW SEAL USING THE TOOL [11] .

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

CHECK THE POSITION OF THE MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH .
