REMOVAL 5TH SPEED GEAR

Remove :

• the bolts (1)
• the steel sump with its gasket

Remove :

• the bolt (2) securing 5th gear fork (3)

NOTE : if action needs to be taken on the output shaft, engage 2 gears and slacken the output shaft nut .

Remove :

• THE RETAINING RING (4) WITH THE TOOL [10]

Position the tool [14] on the 5th speed synchroniser (5)POSITION THE TOOL [14] ON THE 5TH SPEED SYNCHRONISER (5) .

REMOVE THE SYNCHRONISER (5) WITH THE FORK (6) USING TOOLS [14] - [23] .

Remove :

• the 5th speed driving gear (7)
