REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT WISHBONE

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] ball joint extractor (-).0709 .

2 - REMOVAL

Lift and support the vehicle with front wheels suspended .

Remove the wheel .

Remove the pivot ball joint nut (1) .

Extract the ball joint using the ball joint extractor [1] .

Remove :

• the bolts (2) - (3) (rear fastener)
• the bolt (4) and the nut (5) (front fastener)

Detach the suspension arm .

WARNING : the rear mounting is positioned in the sub-frame by means of a pin .

3 - REFITTING

Offer up the wishbone and position the rear flexible mounting (6) on its centralising pin (7) .

Refit the bolts which secure the wishbone to the sub-frame .

Tighten :

• the bolts (2) and (3) to 6 da.Nm
• the nut (5) to 13 da.Nm

Insert the ball joint in the wishbone .

Tighten :

• the nut (1) to 4.5 da.Nm
• the wheel bolts to 9 daN.m.

Return the vehicle to its wheels .
