REMOVAL - REFITTING REAR UPPER ARM

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Rear suspension units compression tool (-).0536-D .

2 - REMOVAL

Fit the compression tool [1] taking care to rotate the end of the rod a 1/4 turn after it is engaged in the crossmember .

Lift and support the vehicle with the rear wheels suspended .

NOTE : to remove the right-hand arm, the entire rear axle must be removed; when refitting it the bolt (1) must be fitted the other way round .

Remove :

• the securing bolt (1)
• the securing bolt (2)
• the rear upper arm

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Clean the bolt threads .

Replace the nuts .

LUBRICATE THE NUTS WITH GREASE .

NOTE : on refitting the arm, ensure that the split pin is present on the pivot .

Before tightening the rear suspension fasteners, adjust tool [1] to dimension X = 225 mm .

Tightening torques :

• bolt (1) : 9.5 da.Nm
• bolt (2) : 7.5 da.Nm

Remove the tool [1] .

CHECK AND ADJUST THE SUSPENSION GEOMETRY .
