REMOVAL - REFITTING REAR HORIZONTAL ARM

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Rear suspension units compression tool (-).0536 D .

2 - REMOVAL

Fit the compression tool [1] taking care to rotate the end of the rod a 1/4 turn after it is engaged in the crossmember .

Lift and support the vehicle with the rear wheels suspended .

Remove :

• the rear wheels
• the 3 securing bolts (1) - (2)
• the bolt (3)
• the horizontal arm and front bracket assembly

Remove the bolt (4) to detach the horizontal arm and front bracket assembly .

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Begin fitting with the bolt (1) to ensure correct positioning of the bracket on the body .

Clean the bolt threads .

Replace the nuts .

Lubricate the bolts (1) - (2) and the nuts (3) - (4) with MOLYKOTE G RAPIDE PLUS grease .

Before tightening the rear suspension fasteners, adjust tool [1] to dimension X = 225 mm .

Tightening torques :

• bolt (1) - (2) : 10 da.Nm
• bolt (3) : 7.5 da.Nm
• bolt (4) : 9.5 da.Nm

Remove the tool [1] .

CHECK AND ADJUST THE SUSPENSION GEOMETRY .
