REMOVAL - REFITTING REAR LOWER ARM

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] spring compressor MG M90 .

[2] Cups (Coloured blue) .

[3] Rear suspension units compression tool (-).0536 D .

2 - REMOVAL

Lift and support the vehicle with the rear wheels suspended .

Remove the bolt (1) .

Remove the nut (2) .

Remove the front upper arm .

Uncouple the brake hose (3) at (A) - (B) .

Plug the brake hoses .

ANTI-LOCK BRAKES

Unclip the ABS harness from the lower arm .

ALL MODELS

Compress the spring using the tools [1] and [2] .

Remove :

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Clean the bolt threads .

Replace the nuts .

LUBRICATE THE NUTS WITH G10 GREASE .

Fit the compression tool [3] taking care to rotate the end of the rod a 1/4 turn after it is engaged in the crossmember .

Before tightening the rear suspension fasteners, adjust tool [3] to dimension X = 225 mm .

TIGHTEN THE REAR SUSPENSION .

Remove the tools .

FILL AND BLEED THE BRAKE CIRCUIT .

CHECK AND ADJUST THE SUSPENSION GEOMETRY .
