REMOVAL - REFITTING REAR PIVOT

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Rear suspension units compression tool (-).0536 D .

2 - REMOVAL

Fit the compression tool [1] taking care to rotate the end of the rod a 1/4 turn after it is engaged in the crossmember .

Lift and support the vehicle with the rear wheels suspended .

Remove :

• the rear wheels
• the heat shield which protects the handbrake cables

Uncouple the primary cable (1) from the right hand secondary cables (2) at (a) and from the left hand secondary cables (3) at (b) .

Remove the brake hose (5) from the caliper .

Plug the openings of the hose (5) and the caliper .

Remove the brake caliper (5) .

ANTI-LOCK BRAKES

Remove the ABS brake sensor (6) .

ALL MODELS

Remove the nut (7) .

Remove the nut (8) .

Remove :

• the nut (9)
• the bolt (10)
• the bolt (11)
• the pivot

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Clean the bolt threads .

Replace the nuts .

Lubricate the nuts with MOLYKOTE G RAPIDE PLUS grease .

Before tightening the rear suspension fasteners, adjust tool [1] to dimension X = 225 mm .

Tightening torques :

• brake hose nut to caliper : 1.5 da.Nm
• REAR SUSPENSION

Remove the rear suspension unit compression tool [1] .

BLEED THE BRAKES .

Adjust :

• THE HANDBRAKE
• THE SUSPENSION GEOMETRY
