REMOVAL - REFITTING MASTER CYLINDER

1 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the air cleaner (1)
• the air inlet hose (2)

Disconnect the connector (3) .

Remove the filter from the brake fluid reservoir .

Drain the brake fluid reservoir (4), using a clean syringe .

Remove :

• the pin (5) securing the reservoir (4)
• the brake fluid reservoir (4)

Blank the holes in the master cylinder (6) .

Uncouple the brake pipes (7) .

Blank the holes in the master cylinder and the brake pipes .

Remove :

• the nuts (8)
• the master-cylinder (6)

2 - REFITTING

NOTE : check the brake servo unit piston rod recess X = 22.3 ± 0.1 mm (this measurement is taken between the master cylinder support face and the head of the piston rod) .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

BLEED THE BRAKES .

Tightening torques :

• nut (8) to 1,5 m.daN
