1 - {{N11106}} CONDITIONS D'INTERVENTION

1 - 1 - FOREWORD

All operations on the injection system must be carried out in conformity with the following instructions and regulations :

• of the health authorities
• for the prevention of accidents
• for protection of the environment

The operations must be carried out by specialist personnel informed of the safety advice and the precautions to be taken .

1 - 2 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Bearing in mind the high pressures (100 bars) which may exist in the fuel circuit, follow the instructions below :

• do not smoke in the immediate vicinity of the high pressure circuit when work is being carried out
• avoid working near flames or sparks

NOTE : after the engine has stopped, wait 30 seconds before carrying out any operations .

Engine running :

• always stay out of range of a possible jet of fuel which may cause serious injuries
• do not place your hands near the site of a leak on the high pressure fuel circuit

IMPERATIVE : do not disconnect the electrical connection of the injectors or of the ecu, this could cause serious damage to the engine ; {{n11107}} effectuer un retour a la pression atmospherique a l'aide du tuyau de prise de pression carburant avant d'intervenir sur le circuit haute pression carburant .

1 - 3 - WORK AREA

The working area (ground etc.) must be clean and free from clutter; parts being repaired must be stored away from dust .

1 - 4 - PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS

Before carrying out any operations on the system, it may be necessary to clean the circuit concerned .

Sensitive components of the circuit :

• {{n11108}} raccord d'alimentation et de retour carburant
• high pressure fuel pump
• high pressure fuel injection common rail
• high pressure fuel pipes
• high pressure fuel sensor
• fuel supply pressure regulator
• petrol injector(s)

IMPERATIVE : advice on cleanliness: the operator must wear clean overalls ; following removal immediately plug the high pressure circuit unions to prevent entry of impurities into the high pressure circuit .

{{N11109}} avant de manipuler des éléments du circuit d'injection carburant, se laver les mains soigneusement ou utiliser des gants latex neufs .

IMPERATIVE : safety torques: always observe the high pressure circuit tightening torques (pipes, injector holder clips), using a regularly checked torque wrench .

1 - 5 - WHEN CARRYING OUT WORK

WARNING : {{n11110}} apres ouverture du circuit d'injection carburant, tout nettoyage est strictement interdit .

{{N11111}} ne sortir les bouchons du sachet qu'après dépose de l'élément à obturer ; garder le sachet fermé le plus souvent possible .

{{N11112}} les éléments obturés doivent être placés dans le sac plastique propre .

{{N11113}} les bouchons sont à usage unique .

{{N11114}} jeter le sachet après utilisation, même si tous les bouchons n'ont pas été utilisés .

1 - 6 - TOOLING

{{N11115}} l'outillage préconisé pour la réparation du système d'injection haute pression de carburant doit toujours être préalablement nettoyé .

Recommended degreasing agent : SODIMAC .
