REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT DOOR OPENING MECHANISM

1 - REMOVAL

IMPERATIVE : door window in upper position .

REMOVE THE FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .

Gradually detach the sealing element at the rear and at the top .

Remove the interior handle (1) by pulling the handle towards the hinges .

Unclip the connecting rod (2) from the interior handle .

Remove :

• the window groove fixings (3)
• the glass groove through the opening (A)
• the mountings (4)

Disconnect the connector (5) .

Unclip :

• the connecting rod (6) on the exterior handle
• the connecting rod (7) on the front door lock

Remove the mechanism assembly through the opening (B) .

2 - REFITTING

NOTE : connect the electrical harness of the electrical control unit after it has been refitted .

IMPERATIVE : in the event of tears, fit new sealing items which must be fitted without folds or tearing ; absolute cleanness of the contact face on the vehicle is necessary ; pass a small roller over the pre-bonded sections of the sheet .

IMPERATIVE : these recommendations are essential to prevent possible entry of water, dust or noise .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Check the operation .

REFIT THE DOOR TRIM PANEL .
