REMOVAL - REFITTING FUEL TANK

1 - TOOLS REQUIRED

[1] Pipe with adapter for valve SHRADER (-).0141-T1 .

2 - REMOVAL

DRAIN THE TANK .

Lower the fuel pressure by connecting the end of the tool [1] to the valve SHRADER; catch the fuel in a receptacle .

Remove the securing bolts (1) .

Remove :

• rear right-hand wheel
• the mud shield

Remove :

• the exhaust assembly (2)
• the heat shield (3)

Disconnect the parking brake cable (4) .

IMPERATIVE : remove the exhaust pipe to avoid damaging the flexible hose; this cannot withstand the torsion, traction or bending tensions caused by the removal of one of the power train supports .

Disconnect the pipe (5) .

Disconnect the pipes (6) .

Remove :

• the two under-sills (7)
• the bolt (8)

Disconnect the connector (9) .

Lower the tank using a pit jack .

Remove the tank .

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .
