REMOVAL - REFITTING ASSEMBLY COM 2000

1 - REMOVAL

IMPERATIVE : position the front wheels straight ahead .

apply the procedure for switching off the central airbag system .

remove the driver's air bag .

Slacken the bolt (1) by a few threads .

Release the steering wheel from its splines by tapping the rim with your hands .

Remove :

• the securing bolt (1)
• {{n13059}} le volant (2), apres avoir fait passer les connecteurs au travers de l'ajourage du volant

Remove :

• the 2 securing bolts (3)
• the bottom cowl (4)

{{N13060}} rabattre la demi-gaine supérieure (5) vers le haut .

{{N13061}} mettre en place un élastique pour maintenir la position du contacteur tournant .

Remove the bolt (6) .

{{N13062}} dégager le collier (7) .

Detach the switches assembly COM 2000 moving aside the two locking clips .

Disconnect the connectors (8) .

Remove the switches assembly COM 2000 .

2 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : {{n13063}} en cas de mauvaise position du contacteur tournant sur l'ensemble com 2000, effectuer le reglage avant de remonter celui-ci .

NOTE : {{n13064}} en cas de remplacement d'un ensemble commutateurs com 2000, la position du contacteur tournant n'a pas besoin d'etre reglee .

{{N13065}} engager l'ensemble commutateurs COM 2000 (sans clipper) .

Connect the connectors (8) .

{{N13066}} clipper l'ensemble commutateurs COM 2000 .

{{N13067}} déposer l'élastique de maintien .

Fit :

• the collar (7)
• the bolt (6)
• the bottom cowl (4)
• {{n13068}} la demi-gaine superieure (5)
• the 2 securing bolts (3)
• the steering wheel (2)
• the securing bolt (1) (tightening torque 3.5 ± 0.1 da.Nm)
• the driver's airbag

apply the procedure for switching on the central airbag system .

Check the electrical operation .

3 - {{N13069}} REGLAGE DU CONTACTEUR TOURNANT

NOTE : the rotary switch with a new COM 2000 does not have to be set .

3 - 1 - COM 2000 OF THE BRAND EATON

Press at the centre of the rotary switch (A) and turn it until the 3 marking triangles (B) - (C) - (D) are aligned .

3 - 2 - COM 2000 OF THE BRAND SYLEA

Press at the centre of the rotary switch (A) and turn it in one direction, to the limit .

Still pressing, turn it in the other direction, to the limit, and count the number of turns (5 turns approximately) .

Then turn the switch to place it in the central position (2 turns approximately) .

NOTE : the air bag harnesses must be at the top .
